Mathematical modeling of ageing is built in this paper around research and development activities in cooperation with pharmaceutical companies and hospitals. The interaction of "dirty data" with appropriate mathematical techniques is exemplified mainly with applications to health technologies in endocrinology and oncology. The emphasis is more on old techniques in new situations than on new techniques, though there are references to some novel approaches to modeling.

Many objects and processes inspired by the nature have been recreated by the scientists. The inspiration to create a Multilayer Neural Network came from human brain as member of the group. It possesses complicated structure and it is difficult to recreate, because of the existence of too many processes that require different solving methods. The aim of the following paper is to describe one of the methods that improve learning process of Artificial Neural Network. The proposed generalized net method presents Regularization process in Multilayer Neural Network. The purpose of verification is to protect the neural network from overfitting. The regularization is commonly used in neural network training process. Many methods of verification are present, the subject of interest is the one known as Regularization. It contains function in order to set weights and biases with smaller values to protect from overfitting.

The method of sterile anaerobic centrifugation was developed. The essence of the method is centrifuging the suspensions of bacteria or insoluble metal compounds in sealed flasks immersed in a water layer. Dipping flasks in water prevents destruction of the flasks under the centrifugal force. The method provides the possibility to centrifuge in anaerobic (inert gas) atmosphere. Thus, the method allows obtaining biomass of both aerobic and anaerobic microorganisms in a sterile conditions and preparing sterile insoluble metal compounds.

On the EEG-based Automated Detection of Alcohol Dependence167-176

Power and magnitude square coherence estimates evaluated for EEG of alcoholics and control participants were used to attempt an automated discrimination of individuals suffering alcohol dependence. The estimates were obtained for non-overlapping consecutive EEG fragments of 0.5 second duration with parametric analyzers and used as features for Euclidean, Fisher, and Regression-based classifiers. Implementing the leave-one-out cross-validation technique, the highest unbiased classification accuracy, sensitivity of 66.45% and selectivity of 67.12%, was observed from the Regression-based classifier when θ-rhythm power estimates for all EEG electrodes were used as classification features.

Acute organophosphorous pesticide (OP) poisoning kills a lot of people each year. Treatment of acute OP poisoning is of very difficult task and is a time taking event. Present day informatics methods (telemedicine), bioinformatics methods (data mining, molecular modeling, docking, cheminformatics), and nanotechnology (nanomedicine) should be applied in combination or separately to combat the rise of death rate due to OP poisoning. Use of informatics method such as Java enabled camera mobiles will enable us early detection of insecticidal poisoning. Even the patients who are severely intoxicated (suicidal attempts) can be diagnosed early. Telemedicine can take care for early diagnosis and early treatment. Simultaneously efforts must be taken with regard to nanotechnology to find lesser toxic compounds (use less dose of nanoparticle mediated compounds: nano-malathion) as insecticides and find better efficacy of lesser dose of compounds for treatment (nano-atropine) of OP poisoning. Nano-apitropine (atropine oxide) may be a better choice for OP poisoning treatment as the anticholinergic agent; apitropine and hyoscyamine have exhibited higher binding affinity than atropine sulfate. Synthesis of insecticides (malathion) with an antidote (atropine, apitropine) in nanoscale range will prevent the lethal effect of insecticides.
